NPCRC Now Accepting Letters of Intent Online

The NPCRC is accepting Letters of Intent online for its 2022 Kornfeld Scholar Program Award, now through November 4, 2022 (5:00 PM EST). Please click here for more information about the grant.

The RFA is limited to applications that focus on palliative care research projects for seriously ill patients and their families in one or more of the three specific areas:


1. Exploring the relationship of pain and other distressing symptoms to quality and quantity of life, independence, function, and disability and developing interventions directed at their treatment in patients with serious and chronic illnesses;


2. Studying methods of improving communication between patients living with serious illness, their families and their health care providers;

3. Evaluating models and systems of care for patients living with serious illness and their families.

*Research focused on dementia; children, adolescents, and young adults; and on addressing disparities in access and receipt of palliative care are high priority areas for NPCRC.

**Research focused on advance care planning or advance directives will not be considered.
