Mission
The mission of the National Palliative Care Research Center (NPCRC) is to improve care for patients with serious illness and the needs of their families by promoting palliative care research. In partnership with the
Center to Advance Palliative Care, the NPCRC will rapidly translate these findings into clinical practice.
Specifically, the NPCRC is providing a mechanism to:
- Establish priorities for palliative care research;
- Develop a new generation of researchers in palliative care;
- Coordinate and support studies focused on improving care for patients and families living with serious illness.
The Center, located in New York City, receives direction and technical assistance from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
